I worry for our children and eldery!

hello JM. I'm sorry to see such judgement. However, I totally understand. I was judgemental about welfare and even getting any help, ever! I worked 3 jobs and was a single Mom of 2. No help needed. But, I paid my taxes since I was 15. sadly, 5 years ago I got sick. Almost died. no longer could I work. I had to rely on HELP. food supplement card helped me eat. Let me assure you it was'nt a lot but it kept me fed. If there wasn't such a long waitlist I would probably be in low income housing . I didnt expect my illness to happen. But, it did. Food stamps and other programs have saved my life. so sir, please have some empathy as this will effect our children and elderly a lot. You don't have to like it. But, making us feel worse for having to use this program is in humane. I presume, you are a nice person and are just going through something hard yourself. Thanks for your time to read this and I hope it helps you perhaps understand the issue better. Have a blessed day.

Faith Over Fear: Don’t Wait for Perfect Conditions

📖 Scripture Focus > Ecclesiastes 11:4 (NIV) “Whoever watches the wind will not plant; whoever looks at the clouds will not reap.” Ecclesiastes 11:6 (NIV) “Sow your seed in the morning, and at evening let your hands not be idle, for you do not know which will succeed, whether this or that, or whether both will do equally well.” 🌿 Devotional Insight How many blessings have we missed because we waited for perfect timing? If you wait for the wind to stop or the clouds to clear before you move, you’ll never plant anything worth harvesting. These verses remind us that faith means moving forward even when conditions aren’t ideal. As a licensed mental health therapist and Bible reader, I’ve seen how fear, doubt, and perfectionism often keep people from beginning their healing journey. We want everything to feel “just right” before we take the first step — but healing, growth, and transformation happen in motion, not in waiting. God doesn’t ask for perfection — He asks for obedience and consistency. When you plant small seeds of effort, faith, and courage, you invite Him to water them in His timing. 🌱 🧠 Therapist’s Reflection Healing doesn’t happen in stillness — it happens in motion. Start the journal. Schedule the therapy session. Set the boundary. Say the prayer. Take the walk. You may not see the harvest yet, but God multiplies movement. He blesses every faithful step you take. So today, let’s stop watching the wind — and start sowing the seed. ✨ 💬 Question for You What’s one “seed” you’ve been afraid to plant because the conditions don’t look perfect? Drop it in the comments — let’s speak faith over it together. 🙏

this is for the people that think that everybody that's on snap is abusing the system

if you are a elderly person or disabled person seems to me like you fall under the category that you should receive food stamps or snap not everybody that draws snap is abusing the system but the system should be more accountable and only give snap to people that need it not people that just want it because they want to spend their money on other stuff and have the government by their food I don't think $80 is really enough for food for a month but you have to realize that this is a supplemental program that means you have to buy other food to go with it in order to stretch it out for the month. I know several people that work and they just don't make enough money to pay all their bills and buy food so this program is really good for them because they can use what money they have left to go with their food stamps to make them last for the month.
