Rick And Morty

I’m a Christian. Not because everything happens on my timeline. Some prayers have been sitting in my heart for years. Some dreams feel delayed. Some healing feels slow. And in the waiting, doubt likes to whisper, ‘Did God forget?’ But then I remember: ‘The Lord is not slow in keeping His promise, as some understand slowness. Instead He is patient with you’ (2 Peter 3:9). He’s not late — He’s intentional. He’s not silent — He’s working behind the scenes. He’s not absent — He’s teaching me to trust the One who holds tomorrow. Waiting isn’t wasted when you’re waiting on the Lord. It’s where faith grows deeper roots. It’s where character is built. It’s where I learn that His timing is perfect, even when it hurts. So if you’re in a long season of waiting right now… Hold on a little longer. Plant your feet. Lift your eyes. The same God who was faithful in the past is still faithful in the middle of your wait. He sees you. He hasn’t forgotten. And when the time is right, you’ll look back and say, ‘It was worth the wait.’ ‘Wait on the Lord; be of good courage, and He shall strengthen your heart’ (Psalm 27:14). You’re not forgotten. You’re being prepared. Keep waiting with hope. #WaitingOnGod #GodsTiming #FaithInTheWait #Psalm2714 #2Peter39 #NotForgotten

You Thought “Wait on the Lord” Meant Be Patient. It Didn’t.

Most of us were taught that “waiting on the Lord” means staying calm. Don’t complain. Don’t rush God. So we sit quietly, anxious on the inside, telling ourselves this is what faith looks like. But the Hebrew word qavah doesn’t mean passive waiting. It means to twist together. Like strands of rope pulled tight under pressure. Biblical waiting is not sitting still. It’s tension. It’s holding on while something inside you is being stretched. If you’ve ever felt tired of waiting, irritated with God, or quietly resentful that nothing seems to move— that isn’t a failure of faith. That is qavah doing its work. You’re not weak for feeling the strain. You’re being woven into something stronger than comfort ever could. #BibleStudy #HebrewWord #FaithAfter50 #ChristianDepth #SpiritualFatigue #WaitingOnGod
