Rams were the first team to score an OT TD on the opening drive and lost

This is the new overtime era in one sentence: the Rams scored a touchdown on the opening OT possession and still lost. In Seahawks–Rams (38–37), L.A. went first in OT and hit Stafford → Puka Nacua for a TD to take the lead. Seattle answered with its own TD, then won the game by converting the 2-point try (Darnold to TE Eric Saubert). It was basically inevitable once the NFL expanded the “both teams get the ball” OT format to the regular season—now you can’t assume “OT TD = game over,” and Seattle became the first team to actually flip the script like this. Is this a better product, or does it make OT feel too much like a mini shootout? #NFL #Seahawks #Rams #Overtime #TNF #NFLRules #MatthewStafford #SamDarnold #PukaNacua

Puka Nacua issues apology after livestream gesture: “I had no idea it was antisemitic.”

Rams WR Puka Nacua posted a statement apologizing after a recent social media livestream, saying a specific movement was suggested to him as a future touchdown celebration and that he didn’t realize it carried antisemitic meaning or reinforced harmful stereotypes about Jewish people. Multiple reports identify the gesture as rubbing hands together, a trope commonly associated with antisemitic stereotypes about greed, and note it was suggested during a livestream with internet personality Adin Ross, and others. The NFL and the Rams also issued statements condemning antisemitism and discrimination while the situation drew broader backlash online. Do you believe this was genuine ignorance and a lesson learned — or do NFL players need to be held to a stricter standard anytime they platform internet “edgy” culture? #NFL #Rams #PukaNacua #NFLNews #SportsCulture #Accountability

Puka Nacua’s brother arrested after allegedly taking Lakers rookie Adou Thiero’s SUV

Wild and messy LA sports headline. NBC4 reports two men — Samson Nacua (Puka Nacua’s brother) and Trey Rose, both 27 — were arrested over the weekend on suspicion of taking Lakers forward Adou Thiero’s SUV without his consent, per the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department. Deputies reportedly tracked the vehicle to the 1 Hotel in West Hollywood, where the suspects had valeted the car and entered the hotel. After reviewing security footage, law enforcement identified them and made arrests. It’s also unclear where/when the SUV was taken and reporting notes police said it wasn’t certain the car was “stolen” in the traditional sense — but both suspects were booked on taking a vehicle without the owner’s consent and remained in custody at the time of the report. This is one of those stories where you just say: what on earth is going on. #NFL #Rams #PukaNacua #Lakers #NBA #LosAngeles #SportsNews
