As a Taxpayer, I’m Starting to Question Who Defines “Fairness”

I file my taxes every year. I don’t make much, but I pay what I owe. When my mother applied for housing assistance, we were told the wait was at least two years. Meanwhile, headlines keep focusing on benefit abuse. I’m not against helping people. I just want to know why those who meet their obligations always seem to wait the longest.
