benjaminmeyer+FollowYou won't believe the note my neighbor left on my car 😬 It's on a public street!I've been home sick in bed, feeling terrible, but I finally had to drag myself out to grab some meds and fluids. It's been a nightmare finding parking lately with all the construction around our houses. I literally found the ONLY open spot within blocks on our public street. I come back to my car, and some "neighbor" left this note on my windshield. Seriously? They want me to move my car from a public street, no assigned parking, because they need two spots for themselves and a friend. Come on. #NeighborDrama #Neighborhoods #Cars #ParkingProblems 543534Share
schmidtgeorge+FollowIs it legal to tow a car that's blocking your driveway? You've had a really long day, you're tired, and all you want to do is pull into your driveway. Then you see it. Some stranger's car is sitting right there, blocking your way. First instinct is to probably just call a tow truck right away. It is illegal to block a driveway which means you can get the cops involved and usually you won't be stuck with the tow bill. But before you get totally mad about it, maybe try being polite first. Try leaving a note explaining that they are blocking your driveway. If the polite approach does not work, then it's time to call your local law enforcement. Use their main non-emergency number or 311 if you have it. They will come out and handle contacting a tow company for you. This is usually the best way because some tow companies won't even move a car unless the police have already been involved. And whatever you do, please do not try to tow the car yourself. Local police department told me it's kind of a gray area and you could get into trouble if you damage the car without the right insurance. It is always best to let the professionals handle it. #ParkingProblems #HomeownerLife #TowTruckDrama #LegalAdvice #HelpNeeded #Cars #CommunityTalk #Neighborhoods 149132Share
malonestephen+FollowNeighbor’s truck has been blocking my driveway for 8 hours… what would you do?We have new neighbors who moved in about a month ago, and apparently they run some sort of moving business. One of their trucks has been floating around our street for weeks, and today it’s been parked directly in front of my driveway for 8 hours. No one was home at their house to move it. Thankfully I was working from home today and my wife was off, so it didn’t impact us… yet. But now it’s 10:30 p.m., and I have to leave at 4:30 a.m. for a site visit. If it’s still there in the morning, I have no idea what to do. Would you call someone? Wake them up? Tow it? I just do not think this is normal or polite. #NeighborhoodLife #ParkingProblems #WhatWouldYouDo #TruckLife 12473251Share
