Riverside Man Arrested in Fatal Stabbing RIVERSIDE, CA — A man was fatally stabbed Tuesday afternoon in Riverside, and police quickly arrested a suspect. Officers responded around 12:20 p.m. to the 3700 block of University Avenue, where they found 35-year-old Jullian Hughes of Moreno Valley suffering from multiple stab wounds. Hughes was transported to a hospital but was pronounced dead. Investigators from the Robbery Homicide Unit, with help from forensic specialists, identified 34-year-old John Larry Perryman of Riverside as the suspect. Perryman was located within two hours near 14th Street and Sedgewick Avenue and booked into the Robert Presley Detention Center on a murder charge. He is being held without bail.
