What I learned spending a day in a Birmingham school

Walking into a Birmingham secondary school for a Deep Learning Day, I was floored by just how much energy both teachers and students pour into every single day. The real eye-opener? A staffroom poster breaking down how we actually remember things: just 10% of what we read, but a whopping 90% of what we teach others. It made me rethink how much of what we read, hear, or even watch really sticks with us. No wonder real conversations and hands-on experiences shape our views so much.
