herreraaustin+FollowI just went in for a simple 30 minute ring resize and they basically stole my family heirloom diamond!!I am still shaking while writing this. I honestly cannot believe a local business would treat a customer like this. On November 12 I took my engagement ring to a jeweler just to get it resized and they confirmed the diamond was perfect before they started working on it. However, when I got the ring back just thirty minutes later, the stone had multiple huge cracks in it that were never there before. The staff and even the goldsmith admitted they messed up and their own paperwork literally says cracked diamond. So I thought they would do the right thing and replace it. Everything changed a month later when the new owner suddenly claimed the cracks were just natural inclusions and started acting incredibly hostile toward me. He actually laughed in my face when I mentioned getting an independent gemologist involved and tried to force me to sign a paper saying the damage was already there. When I refused to sign, he threatened to sue me and post fake negative things about me online if I shared my story. I have already talked to a lawyer and sent a formal demand for my property but they are still ignoring me and won't even say where my diamond is. This stone has so much sentimental value to my family and it breaks my heart that it is just gone. Please be so careful about who you trust with your jewelry and make sure you document every single detail before you let anyone touch your pieces. #Jewelry #Scam #LocalBusiness #Ring #BadExperiences 4631Share
bmatthews+FollowAs a guy I finally bought a sparkly women's ring set and I am honestly obsessed with itDon’t know if this is weird or not but I've always loved how feminine rings catch the light but I never thought I could actually wear them myself. I finally just went for it and bought a cheap wedding style set to see how it looked on my hand and I am so glad I did. I really want to find something a bit more subtle now so I can wear it out without feeling like everyone is staring at my hands 😮💨 #MensJewelry #RingStyle #Fashion #Jewelry #Style #SelfExpression 01Share
jennifercooley+FollowMy Cartier Love bracelet basically saved my arm in a car accident but she's pretty beat up and I'm heartbrokenI was in a nasty accident recently and ended up getting thrown onto the asphalt. I’m honestly convinced my Love bracelet took most of the impact for me. My mom bought this for me after a huge milestone so it really hurts to see it in such bad shape right now. I already took it to the store and they said they’d try to buff out the scratches and dents so I left it with them for now. I am just sitting here wondering if it is even saveable at this point because I really do not want to have to melt it down. #cartier #lovebracelet #jewelry #accident #luxury #help #storytime 01Share
herreraaustin+FollowThe vendor just sent over the final check of my custom necklace and earrings and the sparkle is honestly blinding🤍🤍🤍 I was so worried that the stones would look cloudy or cheap in a full set like this but they are firing off rainbows in every direction!!! If you have ever waited on a big jewelry delivery you know this specific type of torture where you just want to see it in person. #moissanite #Jewelry 32Share
jennifercooley+FollowMy grandmother gave me this ring for Christmas to inspire me and I was honestly speechlessI grew up on romantic movies. And always thought a ring would be the ultimate proof that I was finally chosen and loved. 💍I hit 28 recently and started feeling really down about the fact that my life hasn't turned into a movie scene yet. My grandmother must have sensed my sadness. And she gave me this stunning custom mandarin garnet ring for Christmas! She told me to never enter a marriage just for a piece of jewelry. She even chose this specific orange stone so my life would always be vivid and passionate on its own. 🥹😢 I love it so much. It is a reminder that love comes from people who actually know me and not just from a romantic partner. I would love to hear about the most meaningful pieces of jewelry you have received that had nothing to do with a proposal. 💗💗💗 #ringshare #mandaringarnet #familyhistory #selflove #Jewelry 332Share
herreraaustin+FollowGreat Great Grandma'sThe design is seriously unlike anything I have ever seen. People are debating whether it’s from the 1960s or the 1980s, but honestly, it has this stunningly unique, post-modern architectural vibe that makes it feel timeless. It’s a tiny sculpture for your finger. #Jewelry #VintageJewelry #Heirloom #EngagementRing #GrandmasRing 121Share
jennifercooley+FollowJust Bought This Bright Green 18K Ring for $2.38 at the Thrift Store. Score! The thing that made me grab it immediately was the little marking that says 18K inside the band. The stone itself looks like a really beautiful piece of chrysoprase. And the price? $2.38 USD. I swear, I almost fainted right there in the aisle. I still haven't had the metal tested to confirm that 18K marking, but honestly, just looking at the stone and the setting, it looks legit to me. #ThriftStoreFinds #JewelryHaul #Chrysoprase #VintageRing #18KGold #LuxuryForLess #Thrifting #Jewelry 8327Share
herreraaustin+FollowI Love the Ring My Boyfriend Secretly Designed, But I Might Cry Over the Prongs. My boyfriend and I went to the UK for a vacation this summer and decided to do some fun ring browsing. I went into total detail describing my ideal ring to the jeweler, and we left it at that. What I did not know is that my amazing boyfriend secretly paid for the jeweler to create the exact ring I described. I was completely shocked when I found out. He does not know I have seen the final result, and I am mostly ecstatic, but I have a major, silent issue. I am about 85% satisfied. I never specified wanting round prongs, and they are really bothering me. I thought the default setting for a stone this style was generally claw prongs. I am so grateful and would never say anything to him, but I cannot stop fixating on the round prongs. My question is for the jewelers and engagement ring experts out there. Since we live in the US and the ring was made in the UK, getting adjustments from the original shop is going to be incredibly difficult. Is this something I can easily get fixed or modified by a US jeweler later on. Or is there some secret benefit to round prongs that I am missing. Help me feel better about this beautiful ring. #EngagementRing #Jewelry #Ring #HelpMe 1113Share
brenda51+FollowI was proposed to with the ring I said I hated. Please be brutally honestI said yes last week and I am completely thrilled to be engaged. The ring, however, has taken me by surprise. My fiancé showed me this exact ring online a while ago, and I told him it was not for me. He showed it to me again physically a few months later and I still said it was too pink. I am worried that it looks too playful or even a little childish for an engagement ring. Everyone I know is being super polite and just saying it is beautiful. I need honest, unbiased opinions from strangers. #EngagementRing #Jewelry #JewelryAdvice #RelationshipAdvice 289705Share
james90+FollowMy late grandma worked at a British munitions factory. So why did she have this bracelet with a symbol like THIS???My British grandmother died before I was born. I inherited some of her belongings and was going through a box of her old things when I found this tiny bracelet. It’s a bit of a shock because it looks like it has a swastika on it. I do not think she was a Nazi. It also has a small flag on it with the letters "SHDG" and the word "monterosa." And if you need more information, I remember my grandfather served in the Canadian army in World War II and met her at a dance in Britain while she was working at an ammunitions factory. I am just hoping that I can find out what this is and figure out why she might have had it. I am really hoping someone out there can help me solve this mystery. #FamilyHistory #WWII #Jewelry #Mystery #Swastika #HelpNeeded #Jewelry #FamilySecrets #FamilyStories 699310Share
