Jennifer Russell+FollowI guess I'm trapped in the middle of the world's worst neighborhood love triangle...When we bought our first house, I wanted to be friendly but also keep my distance. I messed up and actually got to know a few people. Now in our small group of friends, two of my neighbors are in a massive beef. Both of them constantly try to be exclusively my friend, trapping me in the middle like some kind of unwilling reality star. One particular neighbor does not understand boundaries at all. I have told her no repeatedly on simple things, but she just keeps pushing whatever fresh boundary I set up. She is not even my direct neighbor and she is completely up in my business all the time. I am over it and I feel completely jaded. When we move, can we just choose not to make friends with the neighbors? #NeighborDrama #BoundaryIssues #HomeownerLife #Regret #Home 5420Share
Justin Guerra+FollowMy neighbor's palm tree gets the most extreme haircut every year Every summer or early fall, Santa Ana winds strip all those fronds right off the tree, and they can really cause damage. They can hit cars, fall on people walking by. It's generally a liability if they're not taken care of. #PalmTrees #SantaAnaWinds #GardeningProblems #HomeownerLife #SeasonalMaintenance #Gardening 120Share
schmidtgeorge+FollowIs it legal to tow a car that's blocking your driveway? You've had a really long day, you're tired, and all you want to do is pull into your driveway. Then you see it. Some stranger's car is sitting right there, blocking your way. First instinct is to probably just call a tow truck right away. It is illegal to block a driveway which means you can get the cops involved and usually you won't be stuck with the tow bill. But before you get totally mad about it, maybe try being polite first. Try leaving a note explaining that they are blocking your driveway. If the polite approach does not work, then it's time to call your local law enforcement. Use their main non-emergency number or 311 if you have it. They will come out and handle contacting a tow company for you. This is usually the best way because some tow companies won't even move a car unless the police have already been involved. And whatever you do, please do not try to tow the car yourself. Local police department told me it's kind of a gray area and you could get into trouble if you damage the car without the right insurance. It is always best to let the professionals handle it. #ParkingProblems #HomeownerLife #TowTruckDrama #LegalAdvice #HelpNeeded #Cars #CommunityTalk #Neighborhoods 149132Share
