evanshaley+FollowWhy You Shouldn't Shut That Utility Room DoorTurns out, keeping your utility room door closed is actually a big no-no! If you’ve got a gas furnace or water heater, shutting the door can trap dangerous gases like carbon monoxide, making your home way less safe. An open door means better airflow, safer air, and a happier furnace. If you really want to hide the mess, swap in a vented or louvered door instead of sealing it off. Safety first, style second! #Home #HomeSafety #UtilityRoom00Share
Nicholas Coleman+FollowDon’t Blow It: Where NOT to Store PropaneHere’s a winter tip you don’t want to skip: Never stash your propane tank inside your house or attached garage. Even though these tanks are built for the cold, keeping them indoors can turn your cozy home into a fire risk if there’s a leak. Instead, store your tank outside, upright, and away from heat sources—think of it like parking your grill for the season. Safety first, s’mores later! #Business #Industry #HomeSafety20Share
Linda Price+FollowTree removal gone wrong sparks outrageA local homeowner was shocked to find deep chainsaw cuts in their neighbor’s trees—before any work was even approved. Instead of using spray paint or flagging tape to mark which trees might be removed, the company left dangerous notches that could destabilize the trees and force unnecessary removal. People are calling out the company’s reckless actions, pointing out the risk to homes, wildlife, and neighborhood shade. Some even suspect this was a pressure tactic to push the job forward. Thomas Woods+FollowOur EV charger almost burnt down the house. It was a dangerous 'Fix'We woke up last night because the alarm on our electric car was going off. When we checked the garage, the charger box was so hot you could not even touch it. We had to wait almost an hour just to look at the damage. It was seriously scary. We have had the EV for about six months. Right after the first electrician installed the charger, the fuse kept blowing. He came back out and told us he solved it by putting in a higher-amp fuse. He promised we would be fine and that was four months ago. We are absolutely calling a different electrician to fix this entire mess. But I'm still really hoping someone here knows electrical safety. I need to know if the first guy steered us completely wrong by just raising the fuse amperage, or if something else entirely went sideways here. #EVCharging #ElectricianFail #HomeSafety #ElectricalSafety #ElectricVehicles #NeedAdvice 134Share
