The 12-Year-Old Was Hiding in the Bathroom to Avoid Bullies. Then She Made This Incredible Scarf.

My daughter is 12, and it has been a rough couple of years; the bullying got so bad she used to hide in the school bathroom during lunch just to avoid everyone. She honestly doesn’t have many friends, so she spends most of her time with me while I fill orders for my online craft shop. For weeks, she was quietly sneaking my yarn and working on something secret in her room. Last night, she walked out wearing this stunning scarf she made all by herself. I included a picture of her proudly modeling it. "Mom," she said, "I want my own shop someday. For kids like me who create things instead of having friends." I had to walk away so she wouldn't see me completely lose it. This child, who hasn't been invited to a party in two years, found her salvation in loops of yarn and dreams of a small craft business. This morning, I found her practicing new stitches at 6 AM, saying it was for her "future customers." That scarf is not just well-made for a 12-year-old—it is genuinely professional. The tension, the colors, the fringe—it’s all perfect. *** I really like that story. You know, sometimes the best thing you can do is just be there for your kids, waiting until they find their own way to get through all this stuff. #ProudMom #BullySurvivor #CraftGenius #YarnArt #FamilyStories #FamilyFirst

My late grandma worked at a British munitions factory. So why did she have this bracelet with a symbol like THIS???

My British grandmother died before I was born. I inherited some of her belongings and was going through a box of her old things when I found this tiny bracelet. It’s a bit of a shock because it looks like it has a swastika on it. I do not think she was a Nazi. It also has a small flag on it with the letters "SHDG" and the word "monterosa." And if you need more information, I remember my grandfather served in the Canadian army in World War II and met her at a dance in Britain while she was working at an ammunitions factory. I am just hoping that I can find out what this is and figure out why she might have had it. I am really hoping someone out there can help me solve this mystery. #FamilyHistory #WWII #Jewelry #Mystery #Swastika #HelpNeeded #Jewelry #FamilySecrets #FamilyStories

My mom’s only marriage advice was one line: Never be afraid to try anything in… 😂😂😂

Right before my first wedding, my mom sat me down for "the talk." She looked me dead in the eye and said, "Honey, never be afraid to try anything in bed." My jaw just dropped to the floor. She kept going, saying if more women were comfortable with that kind of thing, there would be a lot fewer divorces This was a bombshell to me back then. But this advice stuck with me. I also remember visiting my parents' house after my siblings and I had all moved out. They had mirrors on the ceiling in their bedroom. I once asked her what they were for. She just gave me a knowing look and said "Among other things." Later, she even let me and a boyfriend sleep in that room one night. Let’s just say, I got the message loud and clear. #MarriageAdvice #MomKnowsBest #LifeLessons #FunnyStories #FamilyStories #Grateful #DatingAdvice #RelationshipGoals #Relationships

My grandpa passed away. Can anyone help me identify his tattoo?

My incredible grandpa passed away recently at the age of 85. I'm so grateful my grandma took a picture of his tattoo before he passed because for whatever reason, I never asked him about it. It's got a banner with his name, EDWIN, and as a kid I always thought it was some kind of leopard. The only story he told about it was that he got it to cover up a crude "LOVE MOM" cross he had done himself when he was a kid. I believe this was done sometime between 1954 and 1965. In that time, he was a railroad switchman and a long-haul trucker. He was also a total badass who rode motorcycles. I don't know anything about tattoo styles, but I would love to know more about this. If anyone has an idea about what this is or what the style might be, I would be so grateful. #FamilyHistory #FamilyRelationships #FamilyStories #HelpNeeded #Tattoos #Skin
