Justin Guerra+FollowI just sold my home to get away from a guy who mows his lawn at 6am every Saturday and I feel zero guiltI am finally done with this place. My neighbor is the actual worst person I have ever met and he has made our lives a total nightmare for months. He started this weekly ritual where he mows his lawn at 6am every single Saturday and Sunday which was literal torture for us. We tried to be nice and talk to him twice but he just yelled about his rights and told us to get lost. Then he started being even more petty by parking his massive work truck right on our property line. I could barely even pull into my own driveway without worrying about hitting him. The absolute breaking point was when he installed these insane floodlights and pointed them directly at our bedroom window. It felt like living in a prison camp every night. The HOA and the city were completely useless and they only gave him a tiny warning that he just laughed at. We finally snapped and put the house on the market last month and we just accepted an offer. I feel so guilty for the poor people moving in next but I just need to be away from this man before I lose my mind. Tell me I am not the only one who has actually had to sell their entire life just to get away from a bad neighbor because I am feeling pretty defeated right now. #neighbors #realestate #moving #homeowner #storytime #BadNeighbors 3054Share
Timothy Curry MD+Follow I slipped this incredibly polite note under my neighbor’s door about his 24/7 loud TV and I swear I heard him say "tough shit" right after 😩I finally snapped this morning and wrote what I thought was the politest possible postcard to my apartment neighbor. I live right next to a guy who has the TV on truly constantly. I mean 24/7. There hasn't been a single quiet afternoon or night in the past week where the TV hasn't been playing. I can hear near-constant yelling and aggressive, high-stakes situations coming through the wall into my bedroom, which is stressful and makes sleeping absolutely difficult. I think he is heavily into true crime or really dramatic shows. I left this note asking if he could please keep the volume down during quiet hours to support rest. I was so polite about it I even wished him happy holidays and told him I hope his cough gets better because I am genuinely trying to be a thoughtful neighbor here. About ten minutes after I slid it under his door, I heard him moving around and then right through the wall I heard him clearly say two words: "tough shit." I can't guarantee it was a direct response to my friendly note but the timing was perfect. I just want relief and a little peace and quiet for even a small portion of the day. Did I handle this wrong by being too nice? Should I have just gone straight to management? What’s my next move here because I am at my wits' end. #BadNeighbors #ApartmentLife #NeighborhoodDrama #PassiveAggressive #HelpMeDecide 6592Share
