Meet Muffin
Muffin is a 5-year-old, 12‑lb Shih Tzu with the softest little soul. She came to us after being surrendered from an Amish breeder when she was no longer wanted or needed, a confusing and heartbreaking start for a dog who deserves so much more.
When Muffin first arrived, the world felt very big and very scary. She was shy, timid, and unsure of what to expect. But with time, patience, and kindness, she has been settling in beautifully. Day by day, Muffin is growing more comfortable, showing gentle curiosity, and learning that she is finally safe.
Muffin is looking for a quiet, calm, and patient home, one that understands she may need time to fully blossom. A loving family willing to go at her pace will be rewarded with a sweet, loyal companion as she continues to build confidence. Having a social, friendly dog in the home would be a wonderful bonus, as Muffin would love a canine friend to show her the ropes and help her feel secure.
If you believe in second chances and have the patience to let a shy little dog unfold in her own time, Muffin may be the perfect addition to your heart and home.
She would need to meet any resident dogs.
She will come spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, and 4DX tested. She is also scheduled for a dental evaluation and will receive it as the vet deems necessary.
