Meet Theophilus (Theo). He’s almost 6 months old. He weighs 3 lbs. He keeps having issues with poop not coming out fully and is constipated most of the time. I’ve tried getting him to drink more water by adding a little bone broth. He still doesn’t drink consistently. We have fed him pumpkin. He eats some of it but very little. He’s quite the picky eater. I find that a little coconut oil helps. He really likes that. My concern is that I’ve read feeding it regularly can cause pancreatic issues. I give my 1/2 pug 1/2 jack Russell kidney health dog food plus turkey rice pasta chicken or lean hamburger with loe salt broth she will be 10. my father r law raised dobermans and poodles taught me alot . an amazing man. check with your vet always.

try homemade food. I have 1 yorkie and 1 morkie. 3 pounds and 9 pounds respectively 😆. I mix brown rice, sweet peas, sweet potatoes, blueberries, and ground turkey. I also add a powder vitamin supplement. Anyway it's easy on the tummy and they love it. you can add a bit of parsley as well it also helps the tummy!

My Yorkie had the same problem. It helps to keep the area cut close so the poop doesn’t get stuck and prevent the poop from coming out. Good luck

I would love to have Theo. He is so precious. I’m a very good mommy. My cat Bootsie past away late last year, he had cancer in his kidneys he was 20 years old. I miss him every day. 🥰🌸💕 Please let me know how would I would get that sweet little boy home in Stillwater, Oklahoma thanks.

I give my Yorkies a little bit of organic apples with dog food. I used to make them rice and chicken but the vet says she would worry about them getting enough nutrients. Honestly the real food seemed okay- so dog food or people food I still give a SMALL amount of apples because my male gets constipated easily too. I give about 4 pieces of small pieces of Fuji apples with no skin. It really helps to keep my male from getting his poop stuck. And if they have digestive issues I go to cooked rice and chicken puréed like baby food- of course they love that.

try using an ice cube tray, fill it with plain pumpkin puree and freeze it. Our dogs love it and go crazy for their special iced treat.
