Your question, What is it about the gospel message that divides people? I’d like to address the question of why Christians divide themselves based on their interpretations of scripture. Some individuals believe that once a person is saved, they must adhere to the Law. Conversely, others argue that salvation is a gift from God, not a consequence of following the Law. While both perspectives have some validity, the issue lies in their limited understanding. God is not the author of confusion. They fail to seek divine guidance to comprehend the apparent contradiction between their beliefs. By not seeking the truth from the Lord we see churches splitting and forming another denomination of their own to support what they believe. I said both views have an element of truth. Let’s see how that is. By God’s grace he sent he Son that whosoever believes in him shall be saved. It is by Faith we are saved. But it doesn’t end there. God puts his Holy Spirit within us that we may walk in his will. Keeping his commandments. For what was impossible for us to do, the Holy Spirit gives us power from the Lord to fulfill the law by just one fruit of the Holy Spirit and that is Love. These are the fruits we receive that we may walk in his Spirit. Galatians 5:22 “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.” Here are some examples of how we walk in his Spirit. The law prohibits bearing false witness. If the love of God resides within you, it prevents you from doing so, as it is a manifestation of His love. The law says you shall not kill. If the love of God resides within you, it prevents you from doing so, as it is a manifestation of His love. The law says you shall not commit adultery. If the love of God resides within you, it prevents you from doing so, as it is a manifestation of His love. see comment for the conclusion)

During the pre-production of Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade in the late 1980s, head costume designer Anthony Powell and co-designer Joanna Johnston aimed to equip hundreds of extras for massive set-piece scenes, including the Berlin book-burning rally. Sourcing large quantities of period-accurate German military apparel was both expensive and time-consuming for the wardrobe department. Johnston embarked on a research trip to Eastern Europe (specifically areas that had been behind the Iron Curtain in former East Germany) to track down original reference materials and clothing. During her search, Johnston stumbled upon an extraordinary discovery: a newly unearthed surplus cache of genuine World War II-era German military uniforms. Rather than spending their budget recreating hundreds of replica suits, the production team acquired the real military garments directly. The production cleaned and tailored these original pieces, integrating them seamlessly into the wardrobe department for the film's cast and extras. While central characters like SS Officer Walter Donovan and Colonel Vogel wore custom-tailored costumes created specifically for the film, the genuine historical uniforms were utilized heavily in crowd scenes. Most notably, they were worn by the hordes of background soldiers during the Berlin book-burning scene, which was actually shot at Stowe School in Buckinghamshire, England. This incredible stroke of luck gave the film an eerie level of historical authenticity that few Hollywood blockbusters have ever matched. #costume #thehistoriansden

Two of the nation’s largest Medicare Advantage insurers, UnitedHealthcare and Humana, have announced sweeping benefit reductions and market exits that will impact over 1.7 million seniors across the United States in 2026. These moves come just months after the Trump administration authorized a significant increase in Medicare Advantage payments, sparking debate over the companies’ profit-driven strategies and the future of coverage for millions of older Americans. UnitedHealthcare, the largest Medicare Advantage provider in the country, has cut approximately 13% of its plans across 18 states this year. The insurer now offers coverage in one fewer state and 109 fewer counties compared to last year, leading to an expected loss of up to 1.1 million Medicare Advantage members by the end of 2026. Similarly, Humana’s recent financial disclosures reveal plans to withdraw from select markets and discontinue certain plan options, affecting roughly 600,000 members nationwide. These forced disenrollments will require many seniors to seek alternative Medicare coverage during the open enrollment period starting next month. While some may find comparable plans, healthcare experts warn no replacement will be an exact match, and many may lose supplemental benefits or face new restrictions. Profit Strategies Follow Trump Administration’s Payment Boost The timing of these benefit cuts follows a controversial payment increase to Medicare Advantage plans authorized under President Donald Trump’s administration earlier this year. The Trump administration expanded federal funding to private insurers by hundreds of billions, a move criticized by healthcare advocates who argue that it incentivizes insurers to prioritize profits over patient care. UnitedHealthcare has responded by trimming allowances for over-the-counter wellness items and tightening provider networks within their plans

Isaiah 41:13 Isaiah prophesied about God’s coming judgment of Israel as if it had already happened, as if their suffering was already upon them. “Fear not, there is nothing to fear, for I am with you; do not look around you in terror and be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen and harden you to difficulties, yes, I will help you; yes, I will hold you up and retain you with My victorious right hand of righteousness and justice“. God‘s prophetic Word of judgment spoken through Isaiah came at a time when adultery, idolatry, disobedience, and rebellion against God had corrupted Israel to the core. In the midst of sin, God warns us. He bids us to ‘Come back’ to Him, and gives us time to make better choices. In Exodus, Israel’s Deliverer showed up at the edge of the Red Sea. With Egyptian chariots behind and deep waters before them, scripture says they were exceedingly frightened and cried out to the Lord. Moses told the people, fear not; stand still and see the salvation of the Lord…The Lord will fight for you, and you shall hold your peace and remain at rest”. Fear not…For I am with you… and, I will fight for you… Fear distracts us. He blocks our vision and covers our ears so we can’t see or hear our Lord. Fear opens the door to his ‘buddies’, Anxiety, Anger, Frustration, Discouragement… all of which freezes us in the moment, unable to move. We’ve not been given a spirit of fear and timidity, but of power and love, and of calm and well balanced mind and discipline and self-control. Power is the key… Matthew relates a miraculous event. Peter, focused on Jesus, walked on water until he looked around. Distracted by the storm and feeling the waves at his feet he started to sink. His help came from Jesus, lifting him out of the water. He’s our help, too. Whatever we’re afraid of, we give it to You, Lord. Help us, in Your power, to overcome spirits of Fear, of Anxiety and Worry, and anything that would keep us from being who You created us to be. We rest in Your Gr
