"Knock on wood" The interesting thing about "tapping or knocking on wood for the New Year makes me think of the story telling folklores i've read read in the past. "legend says if you knock or tap on a tree in the forest, you invite and allow the spirits of the forest trees to protect you from negative, unwanted influences, and help with guidance."which then became the saying "knock on wood" for luck, protection or even positive guidance. So its entirely fitting to knock on wood 🪵 for the New Year too. This is a pic of one of my favorite massive pine trees 🌲 I added some glitter detail. Note: not every folklore for the holiday needs to cost a fortune to try.
