Found this flashing in my car after getting it serviced. what is it?

I just noticed this thing in my car this morning and it’s freaking me out a bit. It’s flashing red and green, and I’m 99% sure it wasn't there before I took my car in for service a few days ago. I have no idea if it just fell out from under the dash or if the mechanics left it there on purpose. Should I unplug it or just leave it alone? I’m worried it’s some kind of diagnostic tool they forgot, or worse, something that’s going to mess with my battery.
