Am senior and disabled unable to leave house without assistance. work isn't possible and I depend on snap to survive, even then has to ration what I can afford to last month. Makes me angry when knownothings talk about how everyone can afford steak and lobster. The last fresh meat I had was a pound of liver three months ago and was glad to get that. As a diabetic I mostly live on bread and cheese or crackers. Wish gov and others would be given x amount and then licked in room unable to leave. Don't open door for 30 days and see how many made it. Go vegan it’s kind and a lot cheaper! I’m on SNAP too and being vegan helps me get more food from the SNAP and store foods like beans and rice an frozen fruits and vegetables. It's sad that our government plays politics with our benefits. Sadly, I read a lot of comments this is what people voted for Trump to do. Yes, there is abuse that should be stopped. The system should be catching these abusers. IF you can work, then work. Not everyone has the perfect or ideal job. So sometimes you might have to work in a job you believe is beneath you. NO military member should be on SNAP, this is a national disgrace. This is something that hasn't changed for the better since my time in the military. Remember, we all have a voice. Make your voice heard now by contacting your elected officials. More importantly, get out and vote. Trump and his billionaire friends DON'T care about anyone but themselves.
