Death Lies & Alibis+Follow🚨 UNPROVOKED FAMILY DOLLAR STABBING — SUSPECT NOW FACING ATTEMPTED MURDER Newark, Ohio — What should have been a normal Saturday night turned into something violent and hard to wrap your head around. 31-year-old De’Quan Harrison is now facing an attempted murder charge after a stabbing inside the Family Dollar on West Main Street. And according to prosecutors… this wasn’t a fight. 👉 They’re calling it unprovoked. 🔪 WHAT HAPPENED Court records say Harrison allegedly lunged at the victim inside the store and stabbed him multiple times — including a life-threatening wound to the neck. A bystander tried to step in and stop it… but the victim was already seriously injured. He was rushed into surgery and is still in critical condition. ⚠️ THIS ISN’T HIS FIRST TIME This part matters. Prosecutors brought up a 2014 case where Harrison was involved in a violent home invasion that left a man paralyzed. He was convicted of: • Aggravated Robbery • Felonious Assault • Attempted Murder • Extortion He served 9 years. And here’s the part that hits— 👉 He was still on probation when this happened. ⚖️ WHAT HE’S FACING The prosecutor says they’re going for the maximum. • Attempted murder carries up to 11 years • A Repeat Violent Offender spec could add another 10 👉 That’s up to 21 years if convicted. He’s currently sitting in the Licking County Jail on a $1,000,000 bond. 💬 I’m going to say this straight— When prosecutors use the word unprovoked… that tells you everything. #NewarkOhio #AttemptedMurder #OhioCrime #BreakingNews #TrueCrime #Justice #CrimeUpdate #LickingCounty Source: Newark Advocate | Licking County Prosecutor’s Office00Share
