Weekend in the Bay Area | Fairytale Neighborhood Crafted by Iron Art & Landscaping 🌸

The town of Sebastopol, being close to the Bay Area with few people and beautiful scenery, is an awesome place to chill and wander around on the weekend. What makes this town special? A lot of houses have artistic creations in various cartoon forms made of tin. Florence Ave leads the pack, with each house front boasting a piece of iron art. Initially, you'd think these artworks are made by the residents. Turns out, all of this Junk Art was created by the couple Patrick Amiot and Brigitte Laurent. It's usually Patrick constructing the pieces from various types of discarded items, then Brigitte applies the paint, bringing the whole artwork together. Each piece is full of imagination, iron craftsmanship and gardening complementing each other perfectly. The main ingredient is tin, with various discarded items as supporting materials. The two artists, with their passion, created a fairytale world full of cartoon characters. Here's a rundown: 🐷 The pink pig is actually a mailbox! 🦉 The owl is simply exquisite. 🐸 The color combination of the frog prince rocks! Fairytale walk with a little "surprise", like the unexpected skeleton riding a motorcycle. Upon close examination of each piece, each part is made of different things. A flashlight as a nose, a watch band as eyebrows, and nails as feet. Unexpectedly, things that seem random come together to form such harmonious sculptures. At first glance, you'd think it's solely about iron art, but it's actually upcycled art. Tips: 🌟 This is a residential area, be respectful not to disturb the locals. Keep the noise down - definitely do NOT open the mailbox sculptures! 🌟 Make sure to keep a distance from the artworks/front yards. 📍 Florence Avenue Art Walk Florence Ave, Sebastopol, CA 95472 Driving from the Bay Area 🚗 will take you about 1.5-2 hours #WeekendInTheBayArea #Sebastopol #IronArt #Landscaping #FairytaleNeighborhood #UpcycledArt #FlorenceAveArtWalk #BayArea
