I've followed Jesus for 40 years, but recently, a tragedy hit my family that made me question everything. I felt so ashamed of my doubts. I thought God was going to turn His back on me. Then I looked at John the Baptist. He literally baptized the Son of God. He heard the voice from heaven! But when John was locked in a filthy dungeon waiting to be beheaded, the silence got to him. He sent his friends to ask Jesus, "Are you really the one, or should we expect someone else?" The greatest prophet had a complete crisis of faith. But Jesus didn't shame him. Jesus gently sent back proof of the miracles, and then turned to the crowd and called John the greatest man born of a woman. God is not offended by your doubts when you are sitting in the dark.
