I recieve this comment in one of my post. He wrote, “If you continue to sin wilfully after receiving God's grace then you aren't a child of God, you are a child of your father the devil! No one who is a child of God continues to sin because God's seed abides in him.” Here is the scripture he used. 1 John 3:7 Little children, let no man deceive you: he that doeth righteousness is righteous, even as he is righteous. He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil. Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God. Then were this from John. 1 John 2:1 My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous: And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world. John presents two contrasting perspectives. On one hand, he asserts that forgiveness is available to us through Christ for our sins. On the other hand, he claims that since we are born of God, we are no longer capable of sinning. Which is true? Both are. However, there are two things you must understand. Do we commit sins of the flesh after we’re saved? Yes, we do. But we no longer live solely for the purpose of sinning. After coming to Christ, we all have committed some sort of sin in the flesh. That’s the battle we face. Paul described himself as a wretched man. He said that whenever he wanted to do good, evil was present, warring within him. Similarly, when he wanted to do what was good, evil was also present, warring within him. A child of God is constantly engaged in a battle against the flesh. On the other hand, a lost person experiences no conviction about their actions. (See the comment for the rest)
