Have you ever possessed something that held deep significance for you? We all have items that resonate with our emotions, and for me, it’s my mother’s jewelry—a beautiful 14-karat gold necklace and matching earrings. I can still picture how radiant she looked wearing them, and now, after her passing, I wear them with both pride and love. She always expressed her wish for me to keep her jewelry, a way of passing down her cherished possessions to the next generation. She truly cared for that set, ensuring it was cleaned regularly and never worn by anyone else. Even after more than two decades, it remains well kept, reflecting her devotion and care. In a different context, Malachi 3:16-18 highlights God's attentiveness to those who honor Him in a world often devoid of faith. He maintains a "book of remembrance" for them, designating them as His "special possession" on the day of judgment, promising to differentiate between the righteous and the wicked. When God values you, His love becomes apparent; you can trust that He is actively working for your benefit, opening doors and creating opportunities when you least expect them. Recognizing the worth of what you possess is crucial, but it’s equally important not to let those possessions overshadow your relationship with Jesus. The more you appreciate your blessings from the Lord, the more He will bless you in return. This principle extends to our spiritual connection with God; we should hold Him in high esteem and cherish every moment spent in His presence. Therefore, when you come across something you treasure, take a moment to consider whether you are honoring the treasure itself or the source of all creation. Above all, we must prioritize and value our time with the Lord, as our efforts for Him will endure.
