I have found that I enjoy reading through others’ comments on various articles. I sift through the comments that seem to be written simply to be argumentative and look for ones that show some insight and different perspectives than my own. I’m often disappointed that when I counter with another question or request additional information to clarify their argument, there is very seldom a response. Aren’t people interested in delving further into the topics (especially when they took the time to offer their view on a specific comment that I made)? What is the point of initiating a dialogue if it doesn’t continue in a productive way?
