Alright, I need to know if anyone else missed this, because I feel like a rookie. I’ve heard the David and Goliath story a thousand times. The pastor always said David took five smooth stones from the brook just in case he missed with the first one. Nope! I was cross-referencing 2 Samuel 21, and the giant Goliath wasn't an only child. He had four giant relatives/brothers in Gath (one of them literally had six fingers and six toes!). David didn't take five stones because he lacked confidence. He took five stones because he was fully prepared to wipe out Goliath’s entire bloodline if the other four decided to jump in! That is incredibly hardcore.
