When someone has done us wrong, disrespects us or has purposely hurt us it is a human instinct to become angry, retaliate out of pride, judge and harden our hearts. In the Bible, James 1:19 commands us to "be auick to listen, slow to speak and slow to anger". It's difficult to forgive those who have wronged us yet we have a choice, do we listen to our own pride and bitterness or do we listen to the words of Jesus and God instead? As Christians. God demands us to uphold His standards and commandments and not our own, otherwise how can we claim to live out of Faith and to be obedient Followers of Christ?
