Exodus 17 sounds familiar. People complain again. No water. No trust. Same pattern as before. I almost skimmed it. Then verse 7 stayed with me. The place is named Massah and Meribah because the people asked, “Is the Lord among us or not?” That question felt uncomfortably modern. This chapter reminded me that doubt doesn’t always come from rebellion. Sometimes it comes from exhaustion. And God didn’t walk away.
