These people bitching they can't buy sweets is ridiculous. All you need is to buy 15 pounds of flour, sugar, rice. Buy butter, lard and some spices, backing soda, and baking powder you can make on your kitchen counter bread, cookies by the dozen, cake, candy. you can make sourdough starter on your counter. You can make any kind of bread you want. The problem is you have to read and then work to make your own sweets and breads to feed your kids.

If you ASK for my money that I work for and receive it, then it's absolutely my business what you spend it on! You take money from my wallet, from my household. I believe that each month you should be accountable by having to submit documentation of each item you have bought and submit it to the same office that approved your getting SNAP and checked against an approved list. Up-side for this? Think of the jobs it would create besides a check and balance system. If it's seen that items not approved were bought, no more benefits. It puts the responsibility where it belongs, on the recipient. Just my 2 cents worth. ( And no, you can't have that ).

if its about eating healthy why just snap benefits? everyone should be eating healthy. ban it all for everyone regardless of how its paid for. if ur going to lie and say its about eating healthy, make it make sense. plenty of fat rich poeple around too. ban it all.

There should be a snap government store that has items a person can buy and I am guaranteeing people, the left will say it’s racist. They will say, for example, some groups don’t eat what is offered. I say too bad, it is not taxpayers job to separate by non American culture. Eat it or you don’t. So many people would get off their asses and go to work. Government freebies should be 100% controlled

It's a sad state of affairs when those that have, have no compassion for those less fortunate. Do you believe that there are enough job opportunities for everyone to be fully employed? Since this administration took control of the government, our economy has lost hundreds of thousands of jobs,through both DOGE cuts and businesses reacting to higher tarrifs. My nephew is a college graduate, has sent out hundred of copies of his resume, made hundreds of phone calls over the past year with not a single offer of even an interview. He has applied to a wide range of occupations, from retail to finance.He doesnt have any piercings or tattoos. He isn't currently receiving any government assistance, but he's getting close to having no choice. Not everyone receiving SNAP, are scammers or lazy. There aren't many opportunities out there.
