In 1970, a 43-year-old George Blanda kept bailing the Raiders out. He stepped in for an injured Daryle Lamonica in three regular-season games and engineered two game-winning drives—then later relieved Lamonica again in the AFC Championship Game. Oh, and he handled kicking duties the whole time. Quarterback, closer, kicker… one of the wildest late-career heaters the league’s ever seen. #NFL #Raiders #GeorgeBlanda #AFLHistory #Clutch #QB #Kicker #Throwback
