Shaw should be given the chance to play the hot corner. Pitching is what eventually hurt the team in October but it wouldn’t hurt to bring in an RBI guy into the mix.

PITCHING. BETTER BENCH. Quit complaining about SHAW. Shaw was a ROOKIE starter. Compare his first year performance with future 3rd basemen Hall of Famers rookie years. For instance: BROOKS ROBINSON: in 1955 (age 18), he played 6 games for the Orioles hitting just .091, then spent time in the minors, returning in 1956 to play 15 games at .227, and truly broke through in 1957 (age 20) with 50 games, a .239 average and 0.4 WAR, Or MIKE SCHMIDT: 1973 Rookie Season (Age 23) Games Played: 132 Batting Average: .196 Home Runs: 18 Runs Batted In (RBI): 52 On-Base Percentage (OBP): .324 Slugging Percentage (SLG): .373 OPS: .697 Strikeouts: 15 in his first 40 PAs. Or CHIPPER JONES: 217 AVG, 13 HR, 60 RBI By any metric Shaw had a good rookie year. GIVE HIM TIME!!
