Snap is broken system

This is true, people who don’t live on “the other side of the tracks” don’t have the opportunity to see the reality of it. They think abuse is just a drop in the bucket. They think that when you talk about cutting waste you are the evil one taking away from poor people who need help. If they only knew. It all started when we got off of the commodity system and started food stamps. At that time my wife and I were on a strict $60 a week grocery budget. On the 1st of every month I would take our $60 to the liquor store parking lot and buy three $65 books of stamps ($20 each) and it helped us make ends meet. Today I can take you to several small stores that will sell you beer, wine, cigarettes etc. on snap. The ring it up as groceries and charge you extra. Several older people in our area sell half of their pain meds for extra cash, $6 a pill. They will take snap benefits for $8 a pill. I see it all day everyday. The system needs redoing

Our entire world is broken!! Too many people depending on handouts rather than getting off their butts and learning how to take care of themselves!😲👍🤔

Snap is snap you can work 2 jobs and qualify for snap, out of a two job pay after taxes guess what you have left, the problem is minimum wage, they won't raise it so that means people who do work fall under poverty, these people working double jobs are suffering, of you make 13 14 or 15 dollars an hour, after taxes you. do the math, it's still poverty level, the economy is high and the paychecks don't match. They mad about people receiving assistance fix them dam problem give people some money on these jobs so they won't have to fall back on assistance, gosh how hard is it

the government's declared abuse statistic is 1% of the total budget. an infinisimil number. but DOGE already told you they couldn't find their promised widespread fraud and abuse. so stop promoting that propaganda.
