I just read that FEMA’s no longer prioritizing domestic violent extremism. So basically, they’re saying “good luck out there” to the rest of us. We’ve had two incidents in our county the last few years — armed standoff and a bomb threat at the courthouse — and now the folks in charge think this isn’t a priority anymore? Feels like every time regular people start to feel unsafe, D.C. finds a way to say, “Not our problem.” Maybe it’s time we start looking out for our own towns again. Neighborhood watch, community patrols, whatever it takes. Because waiting for federal help clearly isn’t the answer anymore. #Safety #SafetyFirst #FEMA
