America. Let's have a talk. I understand that people think it's unfair that there are these people that get these benefits and you always question, "Why do people get these when I can't get them" or "Why can these people get these benefits while I have to work 50-80 hours a week just to make ends meet." Let's just get something straight. A huge majority of these people are people that aren't reasonably able to work those types of hours either due to having children or because they are on social security and only allowed to work a certain amount of hours a week. These are people, that work either in places like Walmart, Sam's Club, and other varying companies that doesn't pay a true livable wage. (I know in certain areas of the country they make way more than they do in other parts of the country, I'm not naive just making a general point.) 95% of the time, people who receive SNAP are in the lowest part of their lives where the only thing they can do is lean on these benefits to even be able to eat. Let's stop looking down on these people and realize that at the end of the day, you are looking at someone who is down on their luck and just need that helping hand to try and survive. Food is expensive. Healthcare is getting ready to skyrocket if the ACA credits are not extended. Food is overall unaffordable for many people and that's where SNAP comes into play. Just please stop acting like they are a problem and just realize they are a symptom of what's truly going on. #SNAPBenefits #SNAPLife #SNAPTalk
