I've been on SSI since 92 and I was only getting around $400.00 a month and when I got food assistance from SNAP it was a miracle itself and I'm 64 years old have PTSD anxiety and severe depression. I was only able to eat once a day back then. And snap helped me as I wasn't able to hold down a job due to stress and PTSD and my depression. The idea that food is so expensive and I broke my back Snap has been a life saver since I don't drive and have no way to get to the food banks where I live. Now I'll be back to eating peanut butter sandwiches and toast and I butter. I feel like the government wants to dispose of the seniors and those that are just making it month to month. In my 64 years of life I never thought the government would take away food stamps that I rely on to eat two meals a day. I blame both sides of government for not willing to stop taking away from the lower middle class down to those that doesn't make more than 12,000.00 a month or not pay this bill just to try and survive. Sadly that's what it's come down to the Rich getting richer and the poor even more poorer. #SNAPBenefits #SNAPLife #SNAPTalk

What s you SS check $$? SSI is in addition to SS.. How do you get your food? Check out your local Senior center for additional help…like lunch…you pay if you can otherwise it’s free.

Whatever happened to kindness? Whatever happened to laborers, helping neighbors instead of criticizing them, putting them down and making them feel like they’re less of a person because of something they have or because of something they’re not able to do?? if this were affecting you or yours, don’t tell me that in one second you would not be up here pounding on your chest ready to whoop someone?? As Charlie Brown would say…”Good grief!!🤦♀️” maybe it’s because I was raised in a different era than OK what the heck was that most of you? Just like my Dad used to say, “Be careful what you say about others and how you treat others because therefore the grace of God go I!” Jus sayin….

The majority of people don't want illegals to be eligible for all the government assistance programs like Welfare, SNAP, HUD housing, Medicaid , Medicare, or anything else that was meant for citizens of this country paid for by citizens of this country. The vast majority of illegals don't want citizenship and only apply for asylum to get into the country. The Democrat party needs to stop pushing and holding medical for illegals as hostage over the citizens of this country in order for them to eat. Many people don't want illegals to have tax payers money and most people on SNAP do or have worked through their lives and paid into the system and now need help. My mother has a master's degree in special education teaching, I have an Associates which is not much but I worked till my heart blew. We are both on SNAP. We both paid into a system that is now referring to help us because of their want for illegals to be supported by tax payers!!!

No you can’t blame democrats on this big bill they tried to change republican mind but they all voted yes democrats all voted no but republicans had more seats nothing they could do until we vote in more democrats so have power to stop the evil republicans they have no hearts and blame poor for being poor. This is the first time they have a little help because republicans are to work with democrats but will not. Haven’t been at work for over a month with orders from Trump not to talk to democrats he has all the power plus’s funds to feed house give back some help for insurance but Trump is a greedy king that’s his money let them eat cake like a true king when refuses to help the people
