People’s negative attitudes toward snap benefits are so wrong!

I’m a disabled senior, and was getting snap, until the government decided I make too much money. With high rents, increasing utilities, groceries getting more expensive every month I have to be very careful about what I spend on food. I eat a lot of ramen, oatmeal etc. I don’t eat very healthy because I can’t afford it. I have had several caregivers who received snap. These women are working and doing their best to keep a roof over their heads, but the help they get from snap makes a huge difference in their children’s lives. They would be malnourished without it. Then you’d be saying the parents should be jailed for neglect. What’s the big deal about buying a damn cake for a child’s birthday? All of you who say snap should be stopped because people are lazy and don’t work are ignorant, and lack empathy. You should be ashamed!

happy for the changes in food stamps ... soon they will be reevaluated and only the eligible will receive and the others kicked off ! They are going to control how they are spent and cutting out the junk ... only nutritional foods that alone will work miracles and control the number of people applying and receiving .... NO GOODIES NO WANT 😆

Whose responsibility is it for a child? The parents, not the government, that's what's wrong to begin with. It should be temporary assistance, not getting food stamps from the day. These children are born Until they're getting married, that's ridiculous. If you bring a child into this world, it's your responsibility, nobody else's nobody lied down with you. But one man to have that child, I did not say I wanted to feed your child until it's 18 plus years old. Take responsibility for your actions.You brought the child into the world.It is your responsibility until they're eighteen years old! not the government or the taxpayers.!

its screwed up and the only people for it are the ones who have been lied to and think they paya tremendous amount in yearly. they dont realize they pay only 34 dollars a year into the system and that it wont change . they dont realize they pay 500 for buisness subsidiaries yearly and thats getting swept under the rug so focus goes to this they think bullying the poor gives them a feeling of control. telling them they cant have a premade pie and to make one (btw pies cost on avg 6 dollars to buy and significantly more to make and require specialized equipment and skill) is more logical. they are brainwashed slaves who think bullying the weak is the way to go they want to feel superior and better then someone when they are only a few paychecks away or one bad instance from being one of the people needing help. they dont realize that the poor on stamps also pay the 34 dollars in at tax time just like them but again *they* are better then *the poor* hen the contributions are the same.
