No checking accounts or credit cards without husband or father cosigning, no loans, could not serve on juries. could not sue for sexual harassment, could not go to a good college, could not serve I. the military, could be fired for getting pregnant but could not get and abortion, could not refuse sex from there husband, no such thing as marital rape. So, yeah basically second class citizens, must have been fantastic in the 70's for ya!

What isn’t talked about is spousal and children abuse and alcohol addiction. Those things just weren’t talked about. Things were swept under the rug because what would people say.
