Don’t be silly. Of course, it’s Magic and will always be. Magic was leader of the team that defeated the hated Boston Celtics in the NBA finals. The Celtics had beaten the Lakers several times in the finals. Ask Jerry West about it. And not only did he defeat them once in the finals, he did it two times. And he beat Larry Bird in 3 of 4 championship showdowns. 2 of 3 NBA finals and the NCAA championship game. Bird is considered by many to be the best Celtic ever. Magic’s light was brighter than Bird’s light. Magic brought comfort to long suffering Laker fans. He will always be the greatest Laker of them all. And that’s saying something!
