I was an army ranger for 16 years and never talk about it to my family. I respect every brother who served no matter what branch they served in.

I always tell people I was raised by a Marine. He was in San Diego Camp Pendleton in 53. He was a quiet man too. I learned once a Marine always a Marine. My uncle was a Marine too. He was at Iwo Jima. He's why my Dad joined. He didn't talk a lot either

My parents were Marines. My father served in the South Pacific and went back to the Korean War. He received two Purple Hearts and a Letter of Commendation with V. My mother worked as a supervisor in Parris Island. So proud of both of them in heaven now.

men that are quite,,,,,,, have strength of wise wisdom,, there are multiple reasons why WAR SOLDIERS don't keep memriavial of any kind from the military they served in... it's never a conversation piece.... it's the nightmare that whom lived through it.... and watched there fellow brothers in arms die in that nightmare, those are emotional memories that they all try to forget but it's imbedded within there mind, the true heroes are the men that actually fought and killed enemy on the battlefield prays God for those whom lived but the true heroes are the men that fought and died in battlefield in Jesus name amen.... now that's what I know about WAR............!
