ArmyofDorkness+FollowSometimes a parent relies on an electric device( cell phone, TV, computer, tablet) to babysit their children so they can do something they want, have some peace and quiet, or so they can get chores done. It’s sad. I feel bad for this momma. Boundries were not at and consequences were not experienced by this child. If there had been, his would have been a different turn out. Children need routine and stability. If that routine and stability happens to be screen time, when you take that away, you take away the safe space the child feels these devices have become. Which can cause panic and acting out.00Share

gregorybrown+FollowHome Depot’s Cactus ControversyYou won’t believe what’s popping up at Home Depot: cacti with neon plastic flowers hot-glued to the tops! Plant lovers are calling it out as a weird, wasteful gimmick—some even say it’s “offensive.” Not only can the glue hurt the plant, but shoppers might not realize the blooms are fake until they fall off. Why not just sell real, colorful plants like moon cacti instead? Would you buy one of these? #News #HomeDepot #PlantFail00Share
Food+FollowSweet and Tangy Chicken Burgers These flavorful burgers get rave reviews and are remarkably easy to put together. Sauteed onion and yogurt keep the lean chicken patties moist while a blend of pantry spices makes them deliciously fragrant. damnitDusty+FollowLook alive assholes✡️ Oh yeah — you’re not imagining that. The whole “job site” world has turned into a daisy chain of nonsense. It didn’t used to be this way, and that’s the part that really sticks in my craw. What’s actually going on (plainspoken) Most of those sites aren’t employment sites at all. They’re traffic mills. Here’s the loop: • You search for a job • You click what looks like a job board • That site scrapes listings from another site • Then forwards you to another site • Which forwards you again • Until you land on either: • an employer ATS (application portal), or • a dead listing, or • a “sign up to continue” trap Nobody’s minding the store. No foreman. No chalk line. No square. Why it feels endless Advertising money. That’s the whole engine. Most of these sites make money by: • reselling clicks • reselling resumes • reselling “leads” (that’s you) • or stuffing ads between every step They don’t care if a human ever gets hired — they care that you keep moving. So you get: • Indeed → Talent → Zip → Monster → CareerBuilder → “LocalJobsNow” → “USAJobsHiring” → etc. Half of those are just mirrors wearing different hats. The old way vs now There used to be: • employer → newspaper / bulletin board → human Simple. Coherent. Honest. Now it’s: • advertiser → aggregator → aggregator → reseller → algorithm → maybe a job That’s why it feels like wandering a hall of mirrors at a county fair. 🎪 The dirty little secret Many listings are: • already filled • never existed • posted just to harvest resumes • kept alive to make the site look “active” That’s why you’ll see the same job posted for 6–12 months. No shop runs that way in real life. Practical, no-BS advice (the carpenter’s rule) If you want real work, not click-chasing: 1. Go straight to the source • Company websites • Local businesses • Government / county / school system pages 2. Beware of anything that won’t tell you who’s hiring • No company name? Walk. • “Apply30Share
BlueDog+FollowHaving a partime time job is all you can get but the job doesn’t give health insurance. Thave the right to lower your hours at any given time. Heath Is very important. If you have a retail job & its busy time is Christmas then after that your hours get lowered which I do understand. What can we do. I feel everyone needs health insurance no matter what. The government says 20 hours per week or volunteer puff 💨 you have to set that up. Bad weather and they close the store what do you do. Keeping people healthy by seeing a dr 1 a year to stay healthy. You get sick on a part time guy you loose hours and days. This is stressful . Knowing this is painful. The new gov rules are hard to follow. You need to work and worry you might have more hours to meet. Or less hours ,we are not in control of our work schedules. Now there a money gross limits you need to do with in a month. If you try and meet the guidelines and make enough hours I feel you should not lose your heath insurance & maybe should calculated yearly . If you as welfare you can have the 6 month review but you don’t lose your health insurance. Average it out yearly. To make that 20k my son works hard at this retail job it’s like Yo yo . Heath insurance is needed it’s a piece of mind. It should be abused Then people are sick and are waiting for ssi disability. There ill but need help. I think the age is wrong it should be lowered not that high. No clue on single mothers and children. They need more day care so they can work the 20 or more per week #WorkOrLoseCare20Share
