True love doesn’t come with instructions so whenever something goes wrong you can always rebuild it without following any directions or sticking to any guidelines that will eventually lead to bigger problems because you didn’t follow your own mind and just stick to being present throughout the process. There is no rule that says your feelings toward both parents have to be equal. Every relationship writes its own story. One may have earned your tears. The other may have left behind wounds instead of memories. That’s not bitterness. That’s the reality of how different people can shape our lives.
